Clara Poletti

Clara Poletti is Commissioner of ARERA, the Italian independent Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment and Chair of the Board of Regulator of ACER, the European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators. She has more than twenty years work experience in the field. As far back as in 1997, she contributed to start-up of the Italian independent energy Regulator. Since then she has worked on regulation of the energy sectors, both at national and at EU level. She is Associate researcher of the Cambridge Energy Policy Research Group. From 2007 to 2011 she was Director of IEFE, the research Centre of Bocconi University on energy and environment. She was also founding joint academic director of the Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE) and currently she is member of the Board She is also member of the Advisory Council of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). She has authored numerous scientific articles.
